For many people purchasing a stairlift is a major decision and often gives rise to many questions.
Below are a list of the most common questions we are asked by our clients before they purchase a stairlift:
1. What happens if there is a power failure?
All our Stair lifts run on DC power with battery backup, that automatically charge up when not is use. If there’s a power cut you will not be stranded your stairlift will still carry on working
2. What guarantee will I receive with my stairlift?
All our stair lifts come with a minimum 12 months parts and labour warranty, and some of our models come with 24 months parts and labour warranty. We also provide extended warranties for extra peace of mind
3. How long will it take from placing my order to having my stairlift installed?
Some of our straight stairlift models can be installed within hours of placing your order if your installation is urgent or within a few days if your requirements are not as urgent. Curved models take a little longer, between 7 and 10 working days. We will always accommodate your request for a specific installation date
4. How long does it take to install my stairlift?
Stairlifts usually take between 2-3 hours to be fully installed dependent on which model of stairlift is being installed. Our engineers always ensure your stairlift is installed to the highest of standards and that your stairs are left clean and tidy
5. Is my stairlift attached to the stairs or wall?
Your stairlift will be attached to your stairs so no damage will be made to your decor
6. Can other people use the stairs once my stairlift is installed?
Yes. Seats, arm rests and footrests can be folded up when not in use ensuring there will be no obstruction on your staircase
7. Will I have to pay for a home survey and quotation?
No. All our home surveys and quotations are free of charge with no obligation. We do not use hard sell tactics
8. How will I know which is the best stairlift for my needs?
Our experienced surveyors will help you choose from our large portfolio of new and reconditioned stairlifts. The right stairlift will be chosen for your individual needs and budget
9. Will a reconditioned stairlift be of inferior quality to a new stairlift?
No. All our reconditioned stairlifts are fully reconditioned to the highest of standards and under go a 22 point checking and safety procedure. You will find it hard to notice any difference compared to a new model
10. What is the maximum weight capacity of a stairlift?
We have lifts in our portfolio than have a weight capacity of 200kg 31.5 stones
